It was an honor and pleasure to have one of my short stories published in the Grace and Gravity anthology’s tenth volume, Grace in Love. The Grace and Gravity anthology series, edited by Melissa Scholes Young, is a project highlighting D.C.’s vibrant community of women writers, and this volume is dedicated to stories of love — in all its beautiful and complicated forms.
My story that was selected, “Three Points of Contact,” deals with a few different types of love: unrequited love, a mother’s love for her child, and even love for one’s art. It is close to my heart because, at its core, it explores the tradeoff of what we must give up in order to get what we most desire. On a lighter note, it features a love triangle, a rock scramble, and a writing residency set in the mountains.
It’s available at Politics and Prose, in-store and online. I hope you’ll read it, and I hope part of it speaks to you.
